Mazmur 36:7

36:7 How precious ¹  is your loyal love, O God!

The human race finds shelter under your wings. ² 

Mazmur 69:16

69:16 Answer me, O Lord, for your loyal love is good! ³ 

Because of your great compassion, turn toward me!

Mazmur 106:45

106:45 He remembered his covenant with them,

and relented ⁴  because of his great loyal love.

Mazmur 109:21

109:21 O sovereign Lord,

intervene on my behalf for the sake of your reputation! ⁵ 

Because your loyal love is good, deliver me!

[36:7]  ¹ tn Or “valuable.”

[36:7]  ² tn Heb “and the sons of man in the shadow of your wings find shelter.” The preservation of physical life is in view, as the next verse makes clear.

[69:16]  ³ tn Or “pleasant”; or “desirable.”

[106:45]  ⁴ tn The Niphal of נָחַם (nakham) refers here to God relenting from a punishment already underway.

[109:21]  ⁵ tn Heb “but you, Lord, Master, do with me for the sake of your name.” Here “name” stands metonymically for God’s reputation.
